Weighbridge

Highett Metal is happy to offer our customers a public weighbridge facility (with a total capacity of 80 metric tonnes). Our handy weighbridge in Melbourne is suitable for weighing anything – from the smallest trailer through to the largest ‘B Double’ truck.

We are also able to issue VicRoads approved Public Weighbridge Dockets for a minimal fee; please contact us for more information on this. Our Braeside weighbridge is open for operation between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Weight Verification

As of July 1st 2016, all trucks heading to Australian ports with export containers are required to possess appropriate weight verification. This is because the need for accurate weight declaration is considered a critical safety issue. Those without verification are likely to be rejected.

Highett Metal is able to provide weight verification that meets SOLAS requirements (in the form of a signed ‘verified gross mass’ document) through our public weighbridge.

Areas We Service

Our public electronic weighbridge is open to all areas of Melbourne, including: Beaumaris, Braeside, Carrum Downs, Clayton South, Dandenong, Heatherton, Mordialloc, Rowville and Springvale. Those travelling to Melbourne from rural Victoria are also more than welcome to use our weighbridge facilities.
